1974 Treehouse Upgrade

The Treehouse Project is an in-progress whole-home transformation. It honors both the client’s creative spirit and the home's original post-and-beam architecture, embracing brutalism softened by surrounding California Live Oak.
The palette is expressive yet grounded: inky blacks, softened sage, paper whites, and warm woods that echo both 1970s California interiors and heirloom Japanese craftsmanship. Every design choice—down to the grain direction—is intentional, balancing structure with wildness, quiet with curiosity.
We’re currently developing custom built-ins, outdoor fencing, and a new spatial flow that draws on both feng shui and emotional storytelling. This is a home that wants to feel safe and little enchanted.
